Bungie has released a screenshot of Sandbox.  Sandbox is one of the Mythic maps that will be released with the Halo Wars limited edition on March 3rd.

Bungie also released this statement about the map:

“Sandbox combines large-scale vehicular combat with a limitless amount of Forge customization. Boasting a tiered, open-world layout, “Halo 3” players will be able to build their own unique game experiences using the Forge map editor. Sandbox is a map unlike any Bungie has ever created.

Random Video of the Week: Master of Muppets

Posted by austinreynolds on January 31, 2009

Master of Muppets shows the muppets playing the song “Master of Puppets” by Metallica.  I have seen many of the videos where they make spongebob, the muppets and other cartoon characters sing songs but this is by far the best one.

Devil May Cry 4 Review

Posted by jimbaba on January 29, 2009

System: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC

Release Date: Already Released

Developer: Capcom

Price: 29.99

ESRB Rating: M for Blood, Language, Sexual Themes, and Violence

Score: 8.6

Devil May Cry 4 is a hack and slash and I guess a slight shooter. Devil May Cry 4 is a very well made addition to the Devil May Cry series. You play as Nero(a new character to the series) for half the game, and the other half Dante. You start the game and you see Dante drop down and kill the leader of the Order of the Sword. You panic and try to protect Kyrie (another new character) and you must fight Dante who is much more skilled then you are. You must kill all of the members of the Order of the Sword for lying to you and trying to destroy the world. This game is much easier than most other Devil May Cry games, but it will make you want to play it for hours of end. There are six different modes to play on including the Heaven or Hell mode where you kill everything in one hit but your enemies do as well. Of course there is the bloody palace, a series of monster boxes that reach up to 99 with no item use. This game would only be a rent if it wasn’t for the fact that the layout of the enemies didn’t change depending to the difficulty and the Heaven or Hell mode. If you want a cheap fun game this is a game you shouldn’t pass up.

Infinite Undiscovery Review

Posted by sid982 on January 29, 2009

System: Xbox 360

Release Date: Already Released

Developer: Tri-Ace

Price: $39.99

ESRB Rating: T for mild blood, mild language, suggestive themes, use of alcohol, and violence

Score: 7.6

In Infinite Undiscovery you play as Capell. Capell plays the flute which later in the game gives you abilities. Capell looks like the great liberator Lord Sigmund. Due to which Capell is thrown into a journey to liberate the moon from the chains bounding it to the world created by the order of the chains. The fighting style is hack and slash with some RPG elements. In the game you get up to 18 different character which is way to much seeing as you can beat the game basically with four people.  The game is very short for an RPG and can be completed in around 20 hours. At times there are graphical flaws and the graphics themselves were not so good. Overall it is a pretty good game a good buy if you want to pass some time.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Review

Posted by jimbaba on January 28, 2009

System: PlayStation 3

Release Date: Already Released

Developer: Insomniac

Price: 59.99

ESRB Rating: E 10+ for Alcohol Reference, Animated Blood, Crude Humor, Fantasy Violence, and Language

Score: 7.7

Ratchet and Clank has always been a beloved game series to PlayStation owners everywhere. This game is the fifth installment to the series. It is about a Lambax who was a orphan who has no idea of his species of where he comes from. In each game he seems to find out a little more about his history but this one final drops the ball on what really happened to them ( I will not spoil the ending for fans of the series). As you progress you learn about the Zoni, Lombax, and the Iris. The Iris is a machine created for the purpose of knowing everything even the last digit of pie (7). This game has a third person view and you can get many new weapons such as the grooveatron the tornado launcher, ect. This game is alright for someone who has never played a Ratchet and Clank game, but it is a disappointment for fans of the series. You can still upgrade your weapons and make them look and shoot different but it stops at a low level, the tournament is fun for a while but it’s to short too, even after you beat the game you unlock a game plus but it is still a disapointment. On the old games you can at least upgrade your weapons a little farther but they took that ability out too. If you are a big fan of the series purpare to be upset but the game-play is still alright but it is only good for mabye a rent.

Castle Crashers

Posted by haylow1221 on January 28, 2009

System: Xbox 360

Release Date: Already released

Developer: The Behemoth

Publisher: Microsoft

Price: 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15.00)

ESRB Rating: Teen for Blood and Gore, Cartoon Violence, Crude Humor

Score: 8.5

Castle Crashers was released on the Xbox Live Arcade in the summer, it is 17th most played Xbox 360 game (according to major Nelson) among all 360 titles. You start out the game at a little party and then your castle gets attacked by the wizard (Enemy #4, as Sid calls him) and he takes the four princesses from the castle. Here is where your epic quest begins. You fight through 30+ levels and bosses to win the four princesses back and when you rescue a princess, she kisses you and you get a lot of treasure. Treasure can be used to buy animals, weapons, and equipment such as bombs. There are a variety of enemies that range from Troll to Eskimo on your quest. For every kill your get a certain amount of XP that fills up your XP bar. When it fills up you can increase one of the four options: Strength, Magic, Protection, and Speed. You can level up you characters up to 99. Along this quest you will find animals, they are like boosters and boost attack or speed or how fast you level up. The weapons are plentiful ranging from a wrench to bones of a leg to key sword to stick. When you finish the game with one character it unlocks a another character and when you beat the game with that unlocked character you get another character and you can unlock quite a few characters. Each character has it’s own magic and attack. This game has three modes: Story, All you can quaff, and Arena. I’ve already explained the story and all you can quaff is an eating game game where you mash X & Y until you have finished all of the food. Arena is just fighting. It has online co-op so you and a friend can go on an adventure together.*Images found on Google Image Search and castle crashers fan art page at castlecrashers.com
